Optical Digital Twin of Human Acupoints

Optical digital twin of human acupoints

A whole-body 3D dosimetry atlas for precision photomedicine

A public-facing scientific platform for whole-body, acupoint-resolved visualization of photon transport in anatomically resolved tissue. Each case record integrates a human optical digital twin, orthogonal section views, and case-specific dosimetry evidence to support interpretable precision photomedicine.

Overview

What this optical digital twin atlas is built to show

01

Tissue-aware photon visualization

Each model overlays photon transport onto anatomical tissue so that propagation can be interpreted in relation to the surrounding structure rather than in isolation.

02

Orthogonal plane reading

Users can move between full-volume rendering and orthogonal section views to examine penetration depth, spatial spread, and local distribution from multiple anatomical directions.

03

Region-organized case library

The site is organized as a whole-body atlas, making it easier to compare acupoint records across body regions while maintaining a consistent interface standard.

Selected Case

Open the currently selected acupoint record within the dosimetry viewer

This featured case illustrates the public viewing workflow of the atlas: composite tissue-photon rendering, orthogonal section views, and a direct transition from digital-twin localization to interpretable dosimetry.

  • Interactive tissue-photon composite viewer
  • Orthogonal X / Y / Z section exploration
  • Direct assessment of penetration depth within tissue
  • A case-record layout shared across the full atlas

Workflow

From voxelized anatomy to a precision-photomedicine dosimetry atlas

01

Voxelized anatomy

Human tissue structures are reconstructed into regularized volumetric slices suitable for physics-aware computation.

02

Monte Carlo transport

Photon propagation is modeled through heterogeneous tissue with explicit attention to fluence, penetration depth, and spatial spread.

03

3D dosimetry atlas

The simulated fields are transformed into interactive volumetric models for cross-sectional and whole-field interpretation.

04

Atlas publication

The computed fields are delivered through a unified web interface so that reviewers, collaborators, and trainees can inspect the same case records directly.
